Summer Chamber Explorers

We will focus on strengthening foundational strings skill and explore chamber music in multiple styles including but not limited to classical, jazz, and roots music.
-

Summer Chamber Institute
Students signed up for this will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours. They will have several performing opportunities throughout the summer. Students are allowed to miss 2 classes at most. Chamber music is designed to put students in smaller groups with a coach rather than a conductor to deepen musicality and ensemble skills. This auditioned, intensive track will be open to 25 students.
-

Beginner String Classes
Middle and high school students who are wanting to join RMC in the fall and have no strings playing experience are able to sign up for this track. There is a $50 registration fee and participation will ensure a spot for our fall orchestral program. Students who enroll in this track are expected to participate in our school year orchestra program that takes place on Tuesdays. Signing up here does not guarantee enrollment in our beginner strings middle/high school class. You will receive a secondary application after Spring Break to complete your child(ren)'s application.

Summer Group Lessons Pack
Students signed up for this will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours. They will have several performing opportunities throughout the summer. Students are allowed to miss 2 classes at most. Chamber music is designed to put students in smaller groups with a coach rather than a conductor to deepen musicality and ensemble skills. This auditiSix, 45 minute group lessons are made up of 6-8 students paired by instrument and ability. The lessons are uniquely different than the chamber music tracks as they focus on developing soloist skills in a supportive and collaborative small group experience. If your child already has a scholarship for lessons, their scholarship covers summer lessons.
