September Newsletter: Come Celebrate What’s Next at RMC

September Notes from RMC

September is almost over, and RMC has already grown so much. We’ve officially started our regular programming, but this year feels especially meaningful because, for the first time, we have a home of our own.

No more moving stands, instruments, and materials from place to place every week. Our students now have a space they can call home: a place to learn music, do homework, build friendships, and simply belong.

We’re so excited for everything this new chapter will bring!

SHOW UP FOR RMC

A SWEET WAY TO SUPPORT RMC

Join us at Simons Says Dip This (Raleigh Location) on September 25 for a sweet night supporting RMC! Stop by for ice cream, cookies, and community fun, with a percentage of sales benefiting The Raleigh Music Collective.

And make a night of it! There will also be a Mandalorian movie night happening next door at 321 Coffee. Come grab a treat, enjoy the movie, and help support our young musicians just by showing up!

Come join us next week!

Founding Season Kickoff Party

You’re invited to celebrate the RMC Founding Season Kickoff Party with us on September 29!

Join our team, youth leaders, supporters, and community partners for an evening celebrating how far RMC has come and what’s ahead. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 5:15 for a walk-through of our classrooms and a closer look at the programs your support makes possible.

We’d love to have you there as we kick off this new chapter together.

Youth Leadership in Action

Our Youth Advisory Board kicked off the year with a Saturday leadership retreat focused on connection, collaboration, and giving students a stronger voice within RMC. Students participated in a youth leadership session with Terrance Ruth and a creative collaboration session with Jean Gay before spending the afternoon working in their Event Planning and Fundraising Committees.

This year, we’re excited for YAB to work with consistency, responsibility, and opportunities for students to help shape RMC. We can’t wait to see the ideas they bring to life throughout the season!

A little moment from our Beginner Strings Bootcamp. Our newest musicians spent the last week of August learning the basics, building confidence, and getting ready to join RMC programming. We’re so proud of how much they learned in just a few days!
